Hello, I'm Nine.

I specialise in three things.

Design

I have been proudly working in the field of graphic design for over 30 years. And I'm one of those lucky people who really love what they do for a living.

All my clients, large or small, have come to rely on me for branding and brochures, logos and leaflets, concepts and campaigns – whatever and whenever the need, I'm there for them.

They know I'm always ready to provide reliable, speedy and effective design, artwork, illustration and photo manipulation. And I always aim for practical rather than pretentious, with everyday design that works out there in the real world.

Nine has been saving my life for more than 15 years. The quality of creative design is second to none, his turnaround time is fantastic and he always communicates in a friendly, efficient manner – nothing is too much trouble. He has real understanding of what the customer is trying to do, and succeeds in producing the goods. Can't praise or recommend him highly enough.

Copy

Words are powerful tools that continually paint pictures in your mind's eye. Read the word flowerand it's impossible not to imagine one. See, you just did! But when those brush strokes are clumsy or the colours clash, a reader can start to notice.

Whether gently editing and reshaping your own text into a powerful and compelling story, or creating a narrative flow from a collection of flat facts, I can help you draw your audience in and keep their attention for longer.

In this noisy world, words matter. Make your message work harder for you.

I had the pleasure of working with Nine for over 10 years. He is unfalteringly accurate, professional, timely and friendly and always produces work to an extremely high quality. I recommended him to colleagues wherever possible as I knew he would only make their lives easier, as he had mine.

Going the extra mile

Design trends come and go, but I firmly believe that some things should never fall out of fashion. They don't cost anything, but they can be worth everything.

Always taking the time to listen and understand, keeping promises, building relationships, suggesting solutions, making sure the little things are right and communicating in a simple, friendly 'non-designery' way – these all add value without adding to cost.

And that's what I pride myself on delivering every single day from my little London studio. There's absolutely no price on being nice.

Professionalism, speed, accuracy and tremendous copywriting skills make Nine my go-to person for all design and artwork. I have worked with him for over 15 years and he continues to impress by always managing to turn a poor brief into a work of art. I have no hesitation in recommending his skills.

Go placidly amidst the noise and haste

Since the 1500s, designers have been using a dummy text known as Lorum Ipsum in their layouts; phrases of obscure Latin words that act as a visual placeholder for where the real content is yet to be decided.

I prefer to use Desiderata a public domain prose poem written in the early 1920s by the American writer Max Ehrmann. If you're going to read something, why not something that soothes the soul? Even at nearly a century old, the message is relevant today as it ever was. Pass it on… and be good to each other in these difficult times.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
